Let’s Discover Greenwood Program wraps up 2025 Season
Over 40 participants achieved their “Ambassador of Greenwood” certification through the Let’s Discover Greenwood program.
Let’s Discover Greenwood, which began in 2022, started as a program to help train hospitality and lodging staff on things to do in Greenwood they could share with visitors they serve in the industry.
A typical agenda for the full day includes a brief presentation, a panel discussion with community leaders, walking tour of Uptown Greenwood, and a driving tour of Greenwood County featuring numerous attractions along the way. At the end of the day, the class “graduates” with a certificate that names them official Greenwood Ambassadors.
“We have has much success with this program and have been fortunate to educated newcomers, retirees, and even long time citizens about all the things to do in Greenwood”, said Kelly McWhorter, Executive Director of Discover Greenwood. “Even as we continue the program, staff learns something new from every session.
