“4 The Love Of” Festival to Bring Music, Art, and Community Spirit to Uptown Greenwood October 24-25
Uptown Greenwood will come alive this fall with the inaugural “4 The Love Of” Festival, a two-day celebration of music, art, food, and local pride taking place Friday and Saturday, October 24-25, 2025. Presented by Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation in partnership with the City of Greenwood, Discover Greenwood, and The Arts Center of Greenwood, the festival is free and open to the public.
“4 The Love Of” was created to expand Uptown’s cultural offerings and reinforce the idea that Uptown is for everyone, a shared space where art, music, and local business bring people together. The festival’s name draws inspiration from the layout of Uptown Greenwood’s cultural district: the festival footprint forms the shape of a “4” at the heart of Uptown, symbolizing its purpose: celebrating the four things Greenwood loves most – music, art, taste, and community.
“This festival was built for Greenwood, by Greenwood,” said Laura Bachinski, Chairwoman of Uptown Greenwood. “It brings together the people and places that define our community, our artists, our businesses, and the energy that makes this city feel alive.”
Festival Highlights
– Live Music Across Uptown: More than a dozen performers will appear throughout the weekend, including Congress the Band, Freddie McClendon & The Whereabouts, Bad Weather States, and The Mezz. The main stage will anchor the Oregon Avenue traffic circle, with additional street-side performances along Maxwell Avenue and at the Uptown Market.
– Art and Culture: The Arts Center of Greenwood will host “A Local Look” reception and awards ceremony on Friday, October 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., coinciding with the festival’s opening night.
– Food and Taste: A curated lineup of regional food trucks and Uptown eateries will serve throughout the event. Beer and wine will be available for purchase with a festival wristband.
– VIP Experience: An invitation-only lounge will feature small-plate menus from Montague’s Restaurant, The Mill House, and Sweet Indulgence Bakery.
– Community Partnership: Local businesses and sponsors have stepped forward to help make “4 The Love Of” possible, working with Uptown merchants and City of Greenwood departments, including Public Works, Police, Fire and EMS, to create a safe, seamless experience for everyone.
“4 The Love Of” represents what Greenwood does best: collaboration,” said Gibson Hill, Manager for Uptown Greenwood. “It is where local talent, city support, and community energy come together to remind people why Greenwood feels like home.”

“About ‘4 The Love Of’”
“4 The Love Of” is an official event of the Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation and a fundraiser supporting small-business growth and entrepreneurship grants within the Uptown district. Its name reflects both its physical layout and its mission: a celebration of everything Greenwood loves – music, art, taste, and local community. “4 The Love Of” complements the city’s long-standing “Festival of Discovery” and expands Greenwood’s festival season into the fall, strengthening Uptown’s reputation as a year-round destination. Guided by the mantra “Local. Loud. Ours.,” “4 The Love Of” is more than a weekend event. It is a lasting investment in the people, culture, and stories that define Greenwood’s future.
