Here in the Lakelands area, in Upstate South Carolina, we’re centrally located among several larger cities. Just an hour from Augusta, GA, and Greenville, SC, as well as the state capital, Columbia, we’re an easy weekend drive.

Getting Here Is Easy

From Greenville/Spartanburg, SC: From I-85, take exit 46B onto Hwy 291 until it becomes Hwy25 S. Follow Hwy 25 S for approximately 55 miles into Greenwood.

From Columbia, SC/I-26: From I-26, take exit 54 left onto Hwy 72 W. Follow Hwy 72 W for approximately 35 miles into Greenwood.

From Athens, GA: Follow Hwy 72 E out of Athens toward Greenwood for approximately 75 miles.

From Augusta, GA: Follow Hwy 25 N through North Augusta, SC toward Greenwood for approximately 50 miles.

Airports

  • Greenwood County Airport: Charter/corporate air service and conference rooms
  • Greenville/Spartanburg (Int.) – One hour’s drive offering regional, national, and international flights on most major airlines
  • Atlanta – Hartsfield International Airport – Within a three hour’s drive
  • Charlotte – Douglas International Airport – Within a three hour’s drive

Train

Nearest Amtrak station location, in Greenville, SC, is one hour’s drive. Greenwood is also provided rail access by CSX.

Ground

Two major highways access Greenwood. US Highway 25 provides a four-lane northern access to Greenville in Upstate South Carolina and a two lane southern access to Augusta, GA. State Highway 72 provides a four-lane eastern access (under construction) to Interstate 26 and a four-lane western access (under construction) to Athens, GA. Highway 72 ultimately connects with Atlanta, GA.
