Save to Your ItineraryThe SCNHC is a congressionally designated National Heritage Area of the National Park Service. Since 1996, we have been committed to preserving and promoting the natural, historic, and cultural assets of a 17-county area of South Carolina. In response to the growing need for municipalities in South Carolina to have innovative and knowledgeable tourism development allies, we have expanded our services statewide.
We meet our mission through specialized technical assistance programs and a grant program that has leveraged more than $6 million to local communities. In addition to these services, the SCNHC manages the four key programs below.
