Veterans Plaza

The Veterans Hall of Heroes Inc., in conjunction with Greenwood County Office of Veterans Affairs, spearheaded the creation of the Greenwood Veterans Memorial Plaza. The volunteer organization of both civilian and military service personnel, has formed a non-profit corporation to raise funds for building a lasting local memorial plaza and museum to honor our living and fallen veterans, past, present and future, from all branches.

About

The area outside the Greenwood Veterans Center, Greenwood Library and government buildings is the site of the developing Veterans Plaza and proposed Hall of Heroes. Take a walk around the plaza where a giant eagle statue commemorates veterans. Just off Main Street, it’s an easy walk to several Uptown attractions, including the Greenwood Museum and Sundance Gallery, as well as local restaurants and shops.
