Oh, What Fun It Is!

Explore the magic of Uptown when Santa on Main lights up the streets and stores of Greenwood and turns roads and sidewalks into an enchanted world. Starting Dec. 6, we’ll be trimming the trees and decking the halls for Santa’s big scene. We’ll start off with a PJ Party with Santa on December 6th, followed by photos with Santa, crafts with Mrs. Claus and the big tree lighting ceremony all on December 7th.

Lights! Camera! Christmas! Get ready for your closeup when Santa arrives on Main Street. The Uptown parade brings movie magic to town when it kicks off at 2 p.m. December 8th. Dust off your jingle bells to help us recreate iconic movie moments during the “Christmas in Cinema” parade. IF you get to the area a little early, check ou the free carriage rides and visits with Santa at tree lighting festivities in Ware Shoals on Dec. 2.

Kick off the holiday sparkle at the Town of Ninety Six Holiday Festival of Lights, from 6-8:30 p.m. Nov. 29. And if you haven’t gotten enough of the holiday spirit, stick around for the Christmas parades in the towns of Ware Shoals, at 5:30 p.m. and in Ninety Six at 6 p.m. Dec. 14, followed by the town of Troy Christmas parade at 3 p.m., December 15th.

Always Nice, Never Naughty

Be sure to bring your Christmas list, because the shops and galleries of Greenwood are filled with great gift ideas.

You can start off your holiday shopping for handcrafted items at the Town of Ninety Six Christmas Craft Show on Nov. 23.

Everything Is Glowing in Greenwood

For great family entertainment, pay a visit to the most famous reindeer of all at the acclaimed Greenwood Community Theatre. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be on stage from Wednesday, December 4 – Sunday, December 8th, ready to make you shout out with glee.

Join us on the campus of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home the weekend of December 5-7 to see each cottage and building turn into a village aglow with the beauty of Christmas. Don’t miss the spectacular live nativity performance, concert series, and enjoy the petting zoo and traditional favorites like hot chocolate, wagon rides, and a photo booth for preserving your holiday memories. 

​Local Look, an annual, year-end exhibition of local artwork will be on view at The Arts Center of Greenwood through January 10th, 2025. The art exhibition and competition highlights artists within Greenwood County. You can make your own holiday art at the Arts Center at the Christmas Tree Glazing Workshop on Dec. 5.
