The Solutia Gallery, located on the Greenwood County Campus of Piedmont Technical College, exhibits artwork in two destinations on campus, the John S. Coleman Administration Building (“A Building”) on North Emerald Road and the James C. Self Conference Center at the juncture of North and South Emerald roads. The Gallery was made possible by funds provided by the Monsanto Company. The collection comprises works in multiple mediums — including watercolor, acrylic, photography, pottery, and sculpture — from the college’s seven-county service area. Of historical significance are items crafted in the Edgefield Pottery tradition and selected crayon drawings created during World War II, when no other supplies were available.
