Let’s Discover Greenwood Ambassador Session

In Greenwood, we want all of our visitors to Love It Like a Local. That’s why we’re creating a network of people who love Greenwood and want to share all it has to offer. Our new ambassador program will take locals on a deep dive into big attractions, hidden gems and travel industry information. We’re inviting anyone interested in the chance to grow their local knowledge, become Team Greenwood Ambassadors and help give visitors unforgettable experiences.

How Does It Work?

Sign up for a one-day training session, and learn to be a Greenwood Ambassador.

You’ll spend half a day in class at one of the beautiful venues in Greenwood’s Arts District, learning about the best of Greenwood County and getting to know the other Ambassadors. Then, we’ll take you on a guided bus tour of some of the area’s attractions, from Uptown to Ware Shoals, and from Lake Greenwood to Ninety Six. 

Ambassador Training Schedule

Morning – day begins at 9am

• Brief presentation/overview on Greenwood and its attractions
• Panel discussion with local community leaders (Police, Fire, Public Works, etc.)
• Walking Tour of Uptown Greenwood
• Lunch
• Driving tour of Greenwood County

GRADUATION and Adjournment – 4:45pm

By the end of the day, you’ll have some great swag, a bunch of new friends, AND you’ll be a certified Greenwood Ambassador, ready to share your own Greenwood story with visitors. You’ll learn how to give visitors a memorable experience they’ll talk about for ages—and come back for more.
